this morning i received an email at 6:42 am from my boss, "are you irritated that i haven't finished your performance evaluation yet?"
i wanted to say "i'm mostly irritated that your email at 6:42 am woke me up", but i didn't.
i told him i didn't care about the performance evaluation unless it was holding back my big fat raise and that i assumed he'd tell me if i was doing something wrong.
he followed up with "nothing wrong, in fact, you are doing very well, which i don't say enough ..." and other nice things.
i can't complain about a wake up call like that.

That's great news, but weird that he would call you that early in the morning! Only sounds like good things are coming in the future!
ReplyDeleteMaybe he was in the Eastern time zone and it was 7:42 where he was!! Or maybe he just wanted to make sure you were up in time to get to work on time. Or maybe your fancy phone didn't receive a message until 12 hours too late (that's what mine does occasionally). At any rate, glad to hear he's appreciative of your efforts. Hope that translates to some cash money for you.
